The mansion was erected during the decade of 1660 by British wholesaler of England in Zante, Robert John Geoffrey.
Was bought by Alexander Roma in 1880, and since then the seat of the family. The house beyond its historical importance for the modern history of the island, represents the only large urban mansion-oikias- sample remaining in Zakynthos after the earthquakes of 1953.
